The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) has published a new workforce modelling report that uses current data to project supply and demand for veterinary professionals and services over the next decade.

Responding to the report, British Veterinary Association (BVA) President Dr. Elizabeth Mullineaux said:

“This important and much-awaited piece of work from RCVS offers valuable insight into projected supply of veterinary professionals in the UK and trends in demand for veterinary services over the next decade. The modelling substantiates our concerns around veterinary workforce shortages, particularly in government and public health roles and this data will play a vital role in informing ongoing collaborative efforts to build a thriving and sustainable veterinary profession.”
