It’s just six weeks until BVA Live returns to the NEC Birmingham (11-12 May). This year we have another jam-packed, two-day programme of expert guest speakers sharing their views on a range of issues from clinical insights to practical business tips, as well as the challenges facing the veterinary profession today.

The popular wet labs are back, where delegates can get hands on experience to develop their knowledge and skills on a range of clinical procedures. BVA Officers - President Malcolm Morley, Senior Vice President Justine Shotton and Junior Vice President Anna Judson - will lead debate and discussion on a range of hot topics in the Interactive Zone.

Programme highlights include:

  • Successful business Ownership 101 - learn from my mistakes!
Michael Lazaris, Director of Vets on the Common will be joined Sarah McVey, Director and Veterinary Surgeon, Woolton Veterinary Centre and John Rosie, Founder and Director, Vet Care Home to share their experiences of running a successful veterinary business today.
  • Why being an active ally can help create a good veterinary workplace
Dr. Claire Hodgson, Cofounder and Director at BVCIS will lead a panel discussion with President of BVLGBT+ Society James Whitmore, Cofounder of BVEDs Navaratnam Partheeban and Liz Barton from Vet Mums, on how active allyship is central to creating thriving workplaces.
  • Handling reptile emergencies in practice
Tom Dutton, Clinical Lead Exotics at Great Western Exotics will tell us everything we need to know when it comes to caring for reptiles.
