In an exciting communications partnership, the British Veterinary Association (BVA) and ITN Productions are producing a news and current affairs-style programme on the veterinary profession focusing on the trends and innovations that will shape its future.
The project will be an in-depth, online programme specifically aimed at the veterinary sector. It will look at the challenges and opportunities facing the profession now and in the future, in terms of the health and welfare of animals as well as the health and wellbeing of veterinary surgeons.
The news-style piece will combine key industry and sector interviews and reports with sponsored editorial profiles of some of the leading organisations in the sector.
It will be premiered at BVA Members’ Day on Thursday 24 September 2015 and will also be screened at BVA Congress at the London Vet Show on 19 & 20 November 2015, Olympia Grand. The programme will form part of an extensive online communications campaign including BVA members, journalists, writers and bloggers.
ITN Productions’ UK Director of Programming Simon Shelley said: “ITN Productions are delighted to be partnering with the British Veterinary Association examining the major themes affecting the sector and interviewing the industry’s key players. We’re excited to embark on this project to engage with and inform all those with an interest in the future of the veterinary profession.”
John Blackwell, BVA President, said: “This partnership is an opportunity to promote the fantastic work of the veterinary profession and generate some debate about the big challenges and opportunities that the profession is facing. It complements our joint project with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons – Vet Futures – exploring how the profession can best shape its own future.”
