With over 30 years of experience in higher education, consultancy, and professional accreditation, Neil brings extensive expertise to Great Workplaces. He has taught subjects such as sustainable technology, building services, and energy efficiency, earning six consecutive "Inspirational Teacher" nominations at Sheffield Hallam University.
Neil has held leadership roles, including Associate Dean for Global Engagement and Academic Partnerships, where he fostered international collaboration, and Head of UK College Partnerships, overseeing academic programmes and quality assurance globally. As Managing Director of CADE Consultants Ltd., he shaped energy efficiency standards and trained hundreds of professionals in building energy assessment.
For more than 12 years, Neil has been a key member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Accreditation Panel, serving as both a panel member and Chair. He has assessed universities and built environment degrees worldwide, ensuring they meet CIOB’s rigorous educational standards. His work has advanced teaching quality, curriculum relevance, and professional development within the sector.
