Fitness to Practise and Standard of Proof
This working group developed our position on the recommendations from the RCVS Legislation Working Party under Part 4 of the LWP report: Introducing a modern ‘fitness to practise’ regime AND on RCVS recommendations in relation to the Standard of Proof, including:
- Introducing the concept of current impairment
- Widening the grounds for investigation
- Introducing a wider range of sanctions
- A change to the civil standard of proof for disciplinary
